The singer took to Instagram to throw jabs at Black Entertainment Television (BET) for giving awards for African category back stage. A former Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Akure FUTA, Prof Albert Ilemobade, who was declared missing last Monday June 22nd has been found dead. His decomposed body was found inside a store at his residence in the Ijapo area of Akure,the Ondo state capital. The driver and security guard of the academician were last week arrested in Ogun state while trying to sell off his car. The suspects confessed during interrogation that the SUV belonged to their boss and that they had murdered him. The remains of the ex Vice University has been deposited in a mortuary. The suspects have however not stated the reason why they killed their boss.

A female suicide bomber on Tuesday detonate her Improvised Explosive Device in Nannawaji village of Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State, killing scores of people and injuring 26 others.Witnesses said those injured in the suicide bomb attack had been taken to the Damaturu specialist's hospital for treatment.An eyewitness, who accompanied the victims to the hospital in Damaturu, Mallam Adamu, told Channels Television that the suicide bomber attacked the market around 10:30 in the morning.He claimed many people were killed but could not give the figure. Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State on Saturday announced a 50 per cent cut in the salaries and allowances of all political officer holders in the state. Ganduje made the announcement in Kano during the swearing in ceremony of 13 new commissioners for the state. "I hereby announce that the salaries and allowances of all political office holders are reduced by 50 per cent. "We shall pursue an aggressive internal revenue generation in view of the dwindling oil revenue from the federation account as business will no longer be as usual," he said. The governor disclosed that the new administration had also introduced new reforms including reduction in the number of ministries from 19 to 14, to cut cost of governance. Tears flowed freely on Friday as President Muhammadu Buhari; his wife, Aisha; and the wife of the Vice President, Dolapo Osinbajo, met with two women whose daughters are among the over 200 missing Chibok girls. The emotional-laden encounter took place inside the Defence House, Abuja, where Buhari currently operates from. Mrs. Osinbajo had earlier led the two women to a meeting with Hajia Buhari.
