The police in Lagos have arrested a woman, Aminat Akanni, for allegedly abducting two of her stepchildren and murdering one of them because she claimed her husband refused to provide Sallah clothes for her own son. The founder and general overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) Prophet TB Joshua will appear in court on Monday over the collapse of a six-storey building that collapsed in his church at Ikotun, Lagos state Western Nigeria. The collapsed killed over 90 victims while over 100 were rescued from the debris, most of whom were South Africans. Following the incident, the Lagos State government set up a judicial panel to look into the cause of the collapse building. The panel is scheduled to start sitting on Monday 13 October at the Lagos State Hight court at Ikeja, Lagos.
