Lionel Messi is the world’s best paid footballer pocketing nearly £10 million more than Cristiano Ronaldo did last year and over £20 million more than Neymar. He earned a staggering $72million in 2014. He made about $38million as his club salary and the rest were from lucrative endorsements with the likes of adidas, FIFA 15 and Turkish Airlines.
