Army invades last known stronghold of Boko Haram

Nigerian ground forces backed by war planes invaded the dreaded group Boko Haram’s last known stronghold of the Sambisa forest on Wednesday, in an effort to finally defeat their six-year insurgency, two military sources said. It would be recalled that armies from Nigeria and neighbouring Chad, Niger and Cameroon have in the past two months launched a concerted push to try to crush the insurgents. Details later..

Suspected kingpin of the deadly cult group, Badoo, operating in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State, Alhaji Alaka Abayomi, has declared readiness to submit himself to the Nigeria Police Force.
